Where We Have Been and Where We are Going

In 1984, Maki began it's operations with Joel being a company driver hauling refrigerated goods and high-end custom cabinetry throughout the 48 states.  In 1995 Joel went on to hauling hazmat as a company driver in the cryogenic liquids industry, hauling oxygen, nitrogen and argon. During this same time he held titles such as specialized driver trainer  and assistant terminal manager. In 2009 Joel acquired his own authority and subsequently went out on his own. Those adventures included five years in the North Dakota oilfields. As The oilfields became more and more efficient, by 2015 the need for trucks became less and less. In 2016  rates had dropped low enough that it was not worth the effort to live in ND. Back home in Wisconsin knocking on doors led to many opportunities for those with a good work ethic and some knowledge of the needs of renewable energy production. Maki found work in the Biodiesel and Ethanol industries, hauling their co-products and waste. This led to the renewable gas industry, as that industry used to take those products as feedstock. By now, Maki had a good feel for those industries' needs, growing incrementally in measured fashion to both fulfill their needs and safely manage growth.
